Aloha~
Thank you for visiting my website. I am an urban Polynesian from Long Beach, the city I grew up in. What I share is simply what has been given to me from those who have gone before, especially so from my mother, Kapu Bray. She was absolutely inspirational and I am glad to have been raised and taught by such a powerfully talented and humble human being. Here in Long Beach and the surrounding area I have had the opportunity to spread aloha by means of teaching ukulele, Hawaiian mele, and hula, by volunteering for various non-profit organizations, and most recently by gathering ukulele from the community for kids who are displaced. The latter being a work which comes straight from the marrow! Several of my students have become ukulele mentors. They visit a local shelter once a week to show these children how to play ukulele and when it is time for the kids to move on, they can take their ukulele with them!
